I think the view is the best part about this place. When they came to visit, my sister and her boyfriend wanted to try a New England seafood restaurant overlooking Mystic River. This place fit the bill. The restaurant building itself looks a house converted to a restaurant. I loved the table we got! We could see the river, the pier, the buoys, the boats...beautiful!

The food, on the other hand, was hit-and-miss. The lobster bisque was great—hot, thick, and creamy. My warm lobster roll was good, too. However, my sister and her boyfriend shared the New England clambake and were not impressed. It was cold and flavorless. They had to send it back to the kitchen twice! My husband (not a seafood lover) liked his burger.

If you're looking for Mystic ambience and a convenient place to have seafood within walking distance of the main street, this is the place to go. If you're looking for out-of-this-world fresh and tasty seafood (but no view), try Go Fish restaurant located in Olde Mystic Village.
