The Hideaway BBQ is a relatively new addition to Raleigh. It features BBQ sandwich plates as well as BBQ platters of pork, brisket, and chicken. Four different variations of sauces including two Carolina styles are offered.
At night, the Hideaway BBQ becomes the best venue in central North Carlina for genuine honkytonk and American roots music. In the past, they have featured such acts as Hank III, Wayne "The Train" Hancock, Unknown Hinson, Bill Kirchen (formerely of Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen), and Two Dollar Pistols. This is not Nashville music row honkytonk, this is raw PBR-soaked, truck-driving honkytonk, and features a full bar. The cover charge for the music can be quite steep($10-$15), but is well worth it.
