Golden walls and African style prints greet your eyes as you walk into Queen of Sheba. The restaurant, which is lit by a calming low light, boasts a fantastic menu of authentic Ethiopian foods.
Diners can begin their meal with a beverage from the bar, and have the option of ordering an Ethiopian wine (approximately 20 dollars for a bottle).
Appetizers and entrees range include large meat selections, though several vegetarian choices are also available.
Each meal is served upon Injira, a spongy sour flat bread that acts as an eating utensil for the flavorful stewed foods served upon them.
Combination platters are suitable for two, though you may feel more comfortable ordering separate entrees depending on who you are eating with because of the nature of the dining.
Service is fair, though not outstanding as it can take several minutes for your food to arrive. For the price, atmosphere, and cultural experience, however, eating at Queen of Sheba is well worth the trip.
