Joe's Crab Shack

I am sure everyone has heard of Joe’s Crab Shack, but just in case you have not, I am going to tell you about our experience. I guess I would have to start out by saying that I was disappointed and really not that impressed. There was one thing I really liked and could not get enough of, the lobster fondue. It was so good. The main problem we had there is that we ran out of garlic bread, and then when they finally brought it, our fondue was cold and we had to wait for them to warm it up.

As far as the rest of the meal went, our waitress was not very helpful at all. I think she was also working the bar and would forget about us. Then the other servers that we would have to stop or would come check on us were not very helpful; they would just try to leave as fast as they could. We also never got our drinks filled unless we went and found someone to do it for us. Our food was not great. I have defiantly enjoyed better seafood and better service.

One thing I did find neat is that every table has a fishing pail/bucket in the center of the table. This is used for cracking crabs and lobster. You put your shells in it and then they come to clean it when your done; this way you do not have to use your plate.

Joe’s Crab Shack is one of those places that has a gift shop in the restaurant. You can buy T-shirts, hats, and other souvenirs to take home with you. I do not think they would want us to get anything since we had such a bad experience; I would think they would just rather have us forget we ever even ate there. Joe’s also has a playground outside for kids. When it is not raining, you can sit out side to eat and let the kids run around and play. This way you might be able to enjoy a nice meal out as well as the kids.
