Disney’s Soda Fountain

Despite being a Disney lover I did not end up here on purpose. Having some extra free time and no plans we decided to head to Hollywood Boulevard to walk and read the stars on the sidewalk. Of course, when I realized there was a Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store I could not pass it up, especially since it was a hot summer afternoon.

Since we had already had a light lunch, we decided to just have some ice cream, although they do serve sandwiches, too. Well, it turned out to be more than just ice cream. We ordered a Mickey’s Masterpiece, not only because the three of us loved ice cream, but also because it was served in the brim of a giant Sorcerer’s hat (I have a little bit of a Sorcerer Mickey obsession.). The Mickey’s Masterpiece is eight scoops of ice cream with half a can of whipped cream, marshmallow sauce, caramel, cherries, and nuts (we opted to not have these). We had a scoop of every flavor available and it was delicious. We did not finish it, but we came pretty close.

This place is a great place for all ice cream lovers to stop and cool down when walking on Hollywood Boulevard on a hot day. You do not have to get a Mickey’s Masterpiece. You do not even have to go inside, but instead can order a cone from the side window and continue your walk. If you are a Disney collector, especially pins and movies, check out the store for exclusive pins and hard to find Disney movies.
