Dick's Last Resort

I took the family here without warning them. We walked into the restaurant, to be greeted by a lady at the register chewing on gum. She told my son that she was too busy to seat us. She told him to get menus and find a seat for us. The look on everyone's face....Priceless!! My husband caught on by now. We got to our table to be greeted by a insult from our waiter...as he tossed the placemats and napkins on the table...and told the boys to set the table. My son said I don't think we should eat here, they are rude. We couldn't help but laugh. Well they caught on and gave the one liners back to the waiter. The food here is average, the decor rustic. They ask you if you want a hat, if you say yes, be prepared for some rude one liner on it. Girls beat me up! Future drag queen! Oh and by the way... Bathroom + rude staff = watch out!

I Took My Family Without Warning!

I took the family here for lunch, when we walked in we were greeted by a lady sitting at the register chomping on gum. at the register. She told my son she was to busy to seat us and to grab a few menus and seat us for her. The look on his face!!! We then took our seats, our waiter made a rude comment to us and then threw menues and place mats on the table and told my boys to set the table. My youngest said we shouldn't eat here cause they are rude. My husband (who caught on by now) were laughing so hard. Now the boys knew something was up, so we all shot the one liners right back at them. They also got a kick out of their paper hats. Girls beat me up! Future drag queen! Had to try to explain that one.... For a few laughs and a different twist on dining, this is a place to go... the decor is rustic. The food is average. The menu is available on the website.

Don't go here unless you have a sense of humor and are with a fun group of people. The wait staff is always in character acting as disgruntled, rude, and obnoxious. (At least I think they're acting!) Expect to have menus, food, napkins, straws and insults thrown at you. Feel free to return the favor. The finale includes each customer receiving a large paper hat with a derogatory, one-liner insult authored just for you written on it. Like I said, you need to have a sense of humor. I was surprised how many people actually continued to were their dumb hats outside in the parking lot after dinner. My wife really enjoyed the salmon salad and the ribs were OK too.

What a great place. We started our short trip by meeting here. All the waiters and waitresses are also comedians. The table cloths, menus, place mats and "funny-hats" the waiters make you wear all come from the same roll of white paper.
The interior of the restaurant is decorated in early junk-yard and just to warn you, don't go to the bathroom until you have watched a few other people go first and when you do, make note of the color of the soap!
