Everyone knows what Applebee's is and I am sure everyone has been to one. In case this is your favorite restaurant or you have not heard of this place. This review is for you.

On a recent mission trip to Mexico we stopped and ate at an Applebee's in Del Rio. That's right Del Rio Texas. This Applebee's is located in the mall about 5 minutes from the Mexican border. If you love to eat here or just want a taste of American food before you cross into Mexico or after for that matter I would recommend here. It is easy to get to and like I said only 5 minutes from the border.

Applebee's is a great American restaurant that offers a variety of foods for everyone. They have hamburgers, sandwiches, pasta dishes, fish, beef, chicken, salads, a weight watchers menu and a car side delivery option. The food is not the best but it is good and taste even better when all you have had for 3 days is authentic Mexican food.

They have a great atmosphere in there and have several huge flat screen TV;s for your enjoyment. While we were there they had the championship game of the World Cup playing, needless to say that was great entertainment. The staff was nice and friendly and they did a good job accommodating a bug group. I do not eat there very often but this was defiantly a great change after all the Mexican food.
