Hemingways is probably the only place on Sabang Beach that serves tapas and sangria. But what sets it apart from the rest is the excellent cooking and the cosy ambience of the place.
The restaurant's interior of white walls, terracota floor and rattan furniture makes a perfect setting. Moreover, it looks out into a pretty stretch of the beach framed by an overhanging coconut tree.
Their American breakfasts and banana pancakes are one of the few things in this world that can make me drag my sorry ass out of bed, happily, in time for breakfast while I am on vacation.
However, what impressed me the most was that the nice people readily obliged to open the restaurant at 5am, 2 hours ahead of their regular opening hour, so that we could have our breakfasts before catching the 7am ferry out.
