Crozet Pizza

I first learned about Crozet Pizza through the National Geographic a few years back. Does it seem strange that National Geographic would review a pizza place? I thought so too. But, I figured that if it would earn National Geographic's approval, it must be quite a place.

Therefore, I decided to go on an adventure. I took my little rental car, a trusty map, and took Route 29 to I-64 West and then took the Crozet Exit. I drove around a little until I found the place, but it was no problem. Crozet is a small little town. The pizza wasn't a disappointment!

It was about $15 for a pizza, and the atmosphere is nothing special. Only a few small tables are in the place—it's mostly a carryout type of a place. On one wall, there is nothing but business cards from all around the world. On the other walls hang photos of the owner's ancestors.

The pizza was beyond my expectations. The crust was chewy and thick, the pizza baked in a brick oven, and the cheese and Canadian bacon were perfection! I wholeheartedly recommend the place.

Be prepared, though, they don't accept credit cards. It's cash only.
