Flat Bread & Company, I would say, is probably a pizza restaurant, but I want to say that it is also a vegetarian-healthy food establishment. It is situated right on the water overlooking Casco Bay on Commercial Street, in the Old Port of Portland, Maine.

It offers wonderful seating arrangements, from large roomy booths to living room couches and chairs for a home or family environment. There are large stone walls and ovens all on one side of the restaurant with open fires. There is also a bench where children can roll and play with their own pizza dough to keep them busy while waiting to eat. The natural food pizza is fabulous. I especially love the beet-and-goat cheese one.

This is a trendy place that does fill up fast. I do recommend it highly. Enjoy!
