Rumbletums Old English Tea Rooms

This cozy cellar tea room is tucked away down some narrow steps off of Silver Street, near the main square. It's well worth a visit for a quick recharge in the afternoon, with excellent (cheap!) tea in many varieties, plus freshly baked treats, including some wonderful scones. The setting is intimate and homey and the staff exceptionally friendly, even for northern folk! It's also a nice, quiet refuge from the bustle of Silver Street and the marketplace nearby. Come in a little weary, leave very much restored. It's not an absolute must, but it's a great afternoon oasis, and a dash of local color, to boot.
