After driving 4 hours from Los Angeles, you'd think we would have made a better choice for lunch. This buffet was the worst one that we have visited so far in Vegas. The rest of this review is coming soon...

This place has one of my favorite Vegas buffets. It's cutely decorated and they have a lot of great food! Plus, if you are staying in the Luxor hotel, you get two coupons for lunch, which we took advantage of! It’s one of the most popular buffets in Vegas, and I can see why!

This was the only buffet that we went to, and it was great. At check-in at the Luxor, you receive a packet of coupons. In it, there is a 2-for-1 lunch buffet ticket. The lunch buffet had every type of salad (Caesar, house, spinach, potato, mushroom, etc.). It had main dishes, like fried chicken and fish, and Chinese, Mexican, and German cuisine. I could go on forever.

The staff is very helpful. Once you pay for your buffet, a server seats you at your table and comes back often to refill drinks. The buffet is found on the lower level of the hotel and can be entered via the casino. I have also heard that their breakfast buffet is great.

Buffet restaurant. $12.09 after tax.

With the line as long as it was, I expected some good eating, but found myself disappointed by the quality. I tried a little bit of everything. The turkey breast was moist, but did not have the distinctive turkey taste you would find on Thanksgiving day. The oriental choices looked delicious, but with the addition of undercooked and crunchy rice, it was almost inedible. Delicious rolls and biscuits were stacked high. The taco/fajita fixings were the highlight. As with most buffets, I did not give more than a passing glance to the salads and fruit bars. The dessert row was very bountiful, with all sorts of cake, pie, cheesecake, cookies, and soft-serve ice cream.

This is one of my favorite buffets in Las Vegas. There is always a huge selection of food, and the staff is always friendly. It is designed to look like an Egyptian dig site with Stone walls and mummys. The price is around the average for the large resorts ($14 for lunch). The food is tasty and plentiful, including a HUGE salad bar and smoothy area. The breakfast fare is average with made to order omlets and a nice assortment of fruits. Lunch and dinner always seems to have ham, turkey, roast beef, and/or prime rib. I have never had to wait for an item because they had run out of it, but I have had to wait in a rather long line during peak lunch and dinner hours. I will visit this buffet every time I go to Vegas, just like I have the last six times.
