Polly's Tearooms

This is a pretty tea room about halfway along High Street in the picturesque market town of Marlborough. There is parking in several car parks off the main street, as well as parking down the centre of the road.

The tea rooms are popular and serve a wide range of teas, coffees, and cold drinks, and a fantastic array of cakes. The fruits of the forest gateau is wonderful, but the portions are huge, I ended up with almost quarter of a cake. The coffee cake can also be recommended, and there is a display where you can help yourself to smaller cakes and cookies. The staff is very helpful, and the place is decorated in a traditional English tearoom way, with potted plants and white tablecloths. This is a really pleasant place to gossip over a good cup of tea and some cake.
