Worst Bar in Kona

I am a Kona resident. I've lived here for about a year. If you're looking for night life, don't look to Lulu's.. or Oceans for that matter. Lulu's and Oceans are both great during the day, but at night it turns into a trashy, sketchy, local nightmare bar. Not to mention it smells like vomit if you sit at the bar. That can't be good. During the day though, they have good "bar style" food and if you catch them for happy hour, pretty inexpensive drinks. Overall though, I NEVER go there anymore at night. I have heard lots of horror stories about the place after dark and I want no part of it. If you're looking for night life in Kona, go up Alii drive a little more.
Great Night Out - Expensive Beer Though!

We had beers and appetizers one night here - Great food and atmosphere and view....But beers were much pricier than we expected. Local draft beers were 5.75 - We did have a great time, but I think there are other places along the water where beer is less expensive, so we might try those next time....

This restaurant is in the village of Kaulia-Kona and is reasonably within walking distance of the Fairfield Kona Hawaiian Resort. It is on the second floor and has elevator accessibility. The view is great, so long as you have a table along the rail outside.We all had wonderfully prepared fresh fish entrees. Between the Ono, Ahi and Mahi Mahi… we all felt as though ours was the best!The adult beverages were large and strong, well worth the premium price paid.
