Trattoria alla Vedova

I never enjoy the obvious touristy restaurants per se, so instead I try and find a 'local' spot, simply where the locals go. This place was not difficult to find, as it clearly introduces itself on the outside, but it’s a little off the main road (where the bigger cafes are located).

We were seated at longer tables with different people. The Italian food was great, and the staff spoke English with only a little difficulty. This is the ideal place for lunch, with wine and pasta. Even after such a time, I recall what I ate: the black-ink squid pasta.

Italian people are loudly greeted when entering the place--there was a group of lady friends who met up over lunch, an artistic guy who was writing in his journal, and when I left the place, two other tourists (attire and guidebook gave that away) entered.
