This little restaurant is located just behind St Mark's square (exit by the Basilica as though heading towards Rialto, and turn left). Cuisine is local delicacies, but we found it to be extremely good value for money, and such good food we went back again during a 3 night visit! I can highly recommend the spaghetti with clams for any seafood lovers - light, garlicky, and delicious - the starter sized portions of Parma ham were unbelievably huge, pizzas were crisp based and delicious, and the veal was fabulous! On the night where we ordered two courses rather than just one (we were flagging a little by night 2), the service charge included a large basket of delicious slices of garlic pizza, superb service, and a very large glass of limoncello (absolutely lethal lemon licquer for the uninitiated). Dinner for two, including alcoholic drinks and two portions of veal, came to 35pounds sterling, unbelievably good value compared with some of the other tourist cafes on the same street. General tip for Venice- beware of the cover charge! This is in addition to the service charge, and varies enormously both in terms of amount and what you get for it. Can come as a nasty surprise - if you think you can only just afford somewhere, pick somewhere else as the cover could make all the difference!
