Upon entering Piattis, the first thing that catches your eye is how airy and light the decor is. You almost need to wear sunglasses on a bright, sunny day. They have a choice of sitting inside or outside, but I would recommend the inside seating. They also have a cozy private room with a large table that can seat a party of 20 or so.
When my party was seated, they put us near the center of the room, which has views of both the small hardwood bar and the open kitchen area. The waitress immediately took care of our drink orders and then brought us two baskets of freshly baked bread, which was delightful.
I looked over the menu and decided on a small plate of ravioli limon (ravioli in a light lemon sauce) and a glass of soda. Our order was brought to us within approximately 10 minutes of placing it. I have included pictures of both my raviolis and an asparagus salad. The ravioli was delicious! They had started with a creamy alfredo sauce and lightened it up considerably with lemon juice. It was just right. I did not have the asparagus salad, but my dining partner said that it was scrumptious. The waitress was very attentive and waited on us hand and foot. After finishing our meal, I ordered the creme brulee for dessert. It was fantastic! I was quite pleased with my selections and let the waitress know. She was pleased as punch.
Shortly before we left, I decided to check out the restroom to see what kind of condition they were in. I can honestly say that I was a bit disappointed. Compared to all the decor and nice things in the dining area, the restrooms were lacking. Although they had a granite counter top and clean surfaces, the towels to dry your hands were laid out in a stack in front of me. Unfortunately, the gentleman ahead of me had made a mess of the first 20 or so towels. I made due and we left. Overall, I was very satisfied and would recommend this restaurant to my close friends. Thus, I gave this a "Very Highly Recommended" rating. Please try Piattis; you won't be disappointed.
