The homemade pastries prove to be much more enticing than the window display of old athletic shoes. Walls are lined with soccer posters, and team pennants hang from the ceiling. During soccer tournaments, the friendly Italian owners keep the television set tuned to the games. You don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy the glacés, freshly made pastries and strong Italian coffee. My friend loves to linger over her weekend newspaper and fresh pastry at this café.
Soon fans will be able to buy even more pastries when the family opens a bakery down the street. Just do not try to talk sports to the owners if the Italians lose.
