Not a Good Experience

So sorry, the restaurant at Magens Point has been my favorite for years. Unfortunately recently...several months have passed...the owners, menu and staff have changed. Not for the better.
Dessert is excellent. Lunch is below average, ordering food to-go is a big mistake. The bar staff are mediocre at best.

Indigo is a poolside restaurant at Magens Point Resort in St. Thomas. The menu consists of local specials and a mix of other cuisine. Menu options encompass everything, from several seafood plates to filet mignon, all at prices below $30. The dessert menu was even more impressive. Our choice, from several chocolate options, was an ice-cream sandwich creation consisting of German chocolate cake sandwiched around vanilla ice cream, coconut, and caramel. Our table can vouch that it was fantastic.

The atmosphere is laid-back and fairly casual. The patio area surrounds a pool and the lighting is by candlelight. The restaurant has several small stray cats that are fed at the resort's gift shop. They tend to wander around the patio and table area but weren't a bother during our meal.

Overall, for a relatively inexpensive price, Indigo offers some great meals and a great dessert selection in a great dining atmosphere.

In a word -- WOW! This husband-and-wife-run restaurant at Magen's Point Resort is rapidly becoming very popular in the Peterborg area of St. Thomas. We ate here four times during our stay at Magen's Point and enjoyed every meal. Food was served poolside, under patio umbrellas – it was like dining alfresco at a friend's, if your friend is a trained chef!

**Some highlights**

-Linguini with Shrimp and Scallops
Linguine with seafood in a spicy red sauce. A large portion at a reasonable price, very tasty, with nice, fresh shrimp and scallops. Yum! I had the rest for breakfast the next day.

-Caesar Salad with Blackened Tuna
OMG -- this was easily the best Caesar salad I have had all year. Fresh romaine and well-balanced dressing with the correct amount of anchovy. The tuna was blackened just right, slightly rare at center. Great!

-Shrimp Mix
Tempura, coconut, and BBQ shrimp sampler. Excellent.

-Brownie Creme Brulee
Damn good -- brownie base, smooth and rich custard, served warm with a lovely crust. Delicious!
