Description: Pita Jungle is a great place to go if you're looking for a healthy meal at a reasonable price. The menu features lots of healthy choices -- even vegetarian entrees, such as the tasty 1,000 beans pita -- but also great variations on classic recipes. The "medchilada" entree, for example is sort of a mediterranean spin on the classic enchilada, that's large enough to feed two people. This and many other dishes feature the restaurant's savory chicken, which is well worth ordering. For appetizers, the hummus is good and the nachos will feed a small group for around $6. If ordering hummus, however, you'll probably want to ask for extra pitas. Although most of the portions are quite large, the side dishes ($1.95 if added to an entree) are all very flavorful -- especially the mixed beans and garlic potatoes.
In terms of ambiance, the restaurant has a relaxed, continental feel to it despite the exposed pipes inside, and often features background music like the Gipsy Kings. Expect a regular rotation of local artwork, from a diverse set of contributors.
