We stumbled upon Capilla as we were exploring San Miguel. As we entered the restaurant, we all agreed we would be coming back to sample the cuisine. La Capilla is nestled against the Parroquia in the heart of San Miguel. From the rooftop terrace where we ended up dining, you have an unparalleled view of the cathedral, the mountains, and, on our particular night, a beautiful crescent moon hanging in the night sky.
I started with pumpkin soup, which was presented elegantly and was only surpassed by its exquisite taste. Next, I moved on to a simple house salad, followed by a breast of chicken stuffed with goat cheese and covered with a Poblano sauce. We finished with crème brûlée. The presentation, the flavor, and the culinary experience combined with such a breathtaking view from a rooftop terrace in San Miguel will not be easily outdone.
