Grand Paradise Bavaro is an all-inclusive resort. They had a buffet, a restaurant specializing in grilled foods, a Chinese restaurant and an Italian restaurant. I recommend the buffet. It has the most variety, from local specialties to fine cuisine. You could have the most tender fillet mignon prepared right in front of you at the buffet. You could choose the pasta and its condiment and they also prepared right there for you. There were a variety of meats, fish, seafood, fruits and salads and the bread was fresh. For breakfast you could have omlettes freshly prepared, or if you prefer to go light they had a wide variety of yogurts, pastries, and cereals. They also prepared fresh squeezed tropical juices.
However, I would not recommend the Italian restaurant. It could be that my husband's Italian, but the food there was disgusting. I was disappointed that they did not offer more variety of local dishes.
But overall, the food was delicious and the staff was friendly especially if you spoke Spanish. If you didn't speak Spanish and you were acting like a spoiled tourist, they would say rude comments to you while smiling in your face. I thought it was kind of funny, but that's because I speak Spanish.
