Maly Bhuddha isn't exactly in the center of Prague, but it was always worth the tram ride. The food is extremely tasty - a Thai fusion. I admit I didn’t really expect to get decent Asian food in Prague, but I really liked Maly Buddha. For a sit-down restaurant, the prices were really good, and the portions were large. The one thing that I remember, though, was that sometimes the service was a bit slow. The atmosphere is good and the restaurant is pretty small and intimate. Look it up before you go or you won't find it.

It is strange to eat such good Asian food in Prague - but it is good. A nice break from the pork and dumplings that abound in Prague. A nice atmosphere as well - very relaxing and a nice walk from the Castle.

Maly Buddha

This is a wonderful Vietnamese Restaurant, just down the hill from Pohorelec towards Prague castle.

The food is delicious and the decor very exotic. The rooms have vaulted ceilings and there is a Buddhist temple at one end. Add to this Asian music and the atmosphere is great.

The food has a good vegetarian selection, exotic juices, and authentic Vietnamese dishes with a choice of rice or noodles.

The price is definitely on the low side of the $10-20 range.

There is also a wide selection of teas for those who prefer a non-alcohol choice.

I was told the service can be a bit slow, but when I was there it was fine.
