A Lost Destination

Somehow I am quite intrigued by the reviews that people write about Blue Nile. This restaurant is located at the crossroad near Nucleus shopping mall and is touted as being one of the oldest and best places for Biryani.

On the contrary I would not give a thums up for this restaurant. There was a time when this place would be the ideal place to dine with your family. As time has passed and years gone by the owners on this restaurant have done little to improve the ambience or interiors of this restaurant. It resembles nothing other than a railway waiting room, always crowded with pandemonium.

The quality of food has also taken a backseat. I do not find the Biryani up too much - The last time I ate there the quality is quantity of food was not to my expectation. I guess inflation has had its effect with BlueNile. Tandoori chicken is also something that most people relish - Out here the tandoori that I had ordered was half burned - looks like they forgot to take it off the tandoor in time.
I also found the cuttlery to be dirty and not washed properly- They are always greasy and stained.

So BlueNile is not the best place to go to if you are looking for a decent plate of Biryani. There are better restaurants and also reasonable restaurants that you would like.

I do not approve of Blue Nile .

A friend recommended I have BIRIYANI at the Blue Nile hotel in Pune. Being a hyderabadi I was craving for a good Biriyani joint in Pune. I tried several places but was not lucky to have good Biriyani till a friend suggested I try Blue Nile.
Really worth every penny. Awesome taste of the food.

Worth a try.

When you think of eating out in Pune, there are a lot of good joints and restaurants. But if you are thinking specifically about having biryani, then Blue Nile is the place.

Blue Nile is located near Pune Club, very close to the famous Chowpatty. I should say that almost every item listed on the menu is very good, so you can safely pick and choose anything, but biryani is what you should have if you go to Blue Nile. The taste is absolutely divine and mouthwatering. It is thronged by people of all ages, and a perfect place for a family.

The chicken tandoori and kebabs are also very good and mouthwatering! In short, if want to relish biryani, then head straight to Blue Nile!
