Great Lunches at a Great Price

  • February 22, 2008

I've been eating at the Crooked Mile for years, and when I saw the IgoUgo link, I couldn't resist putting in a good word.

Lunches are terrific at the Crooked Mile, especially the salads--and they're served on real plates with real cutlery, no plastic or paper to mar the generous portions, reasonable prices, and terrific taste.

Plus, the people are friendly, the atmosphere cozy, the coffee delicious and hot.

The Crooked Mile

The Crooked Mile is located next to the Portland Regency Hotel and is the perfect place for breakfast or a hot cup of coffee or tea in the middle of the afternoon, especially if you're staying at the Regency.

The decor at The Crooked Mile is urban, industrial, and eclectic. Exposed beams and pipes are offset by little track lights as well as lamps. You can choose to sit at a table or on one of the comfortable couches or armchairs in the back.

The Crooked Mile offers a variety of coffee and tea drinks as well as muffins, bagels, sandwiches, soups, salads, and fruit. Enjoy a light meal on real dishes and stay awhile, or just pop in and get a cup of mud to go, sipping it as you stroll through the Old Port.
