Outback Steakhouse is a chain steakhouse with an Australian theme. Generally the steaks are excellent and thick. We like the "Outback Special" - a 8 oz serloin for $12.99. The filet is also very good. They come with a fresh salad and choice of potato or veggies. The tangy tomato dressing for the salad is great. It is like a French, but with more of a tangy kick. The server will warn you about the true definition of Medium Rare - "a warm red center" so that you make an informed decision. The bloomin' onion appetizer is an excellent choice. It is an entire fried onion that looks like a blooming flower. It comes with a horseradish dipping sauce. The also offer shrimps on the barbie, chicken and some tasty BBQ ribs.
