We saw the Black Angus Steakhouse as we were driving down US 192. It looked like a nice place and we were in the mood for a good steak, so we stopped in. It was about 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon when we stopped in and our party of nine (seven adults and two kids) was immediately seated. We did not need reservations, but by the time we left (about 6pm), the restaurant was packed, so I would recommend calling ahead and getting a reservation.
The inside of the restaurant was incredibly big; it has high ceilings, giving it a very open feel. This probably made it seem bigger than it actually was.
The menu offers chops, chicken, salads, sandwiches, ribs, seafood and burgers in addition to their famous steaks. There was also an all-you-can-eat salad and fruit bar; I did not get the salad bar, but I did look it over and it appeared to have a very nice selection and everything looked fresh. They also have a nice children’s menu, offering all the typical kids’ meals, including burger, chicken nuggets, grilled cheese, and steak. And each kids’ meal comes with a dessert, which is a great budget saver.
We had to wait about 20 minutes after ordering for our food to come out, but while we were waiting, we had plenty of hot dinner rolls to munch on. When are food did arrive, it was all hot and cooked to order, not a small feat for a large party. Our meals were great; I highly recommend the T-bone. The prices were not bad either; for the four people on our bill (two adults and two kids), we spent $46 after a 15% coupon that you can find in just about any of the free Orlando vacation magazines that seem to be everywhere.
There are three Black Angus Steakhouse locations in Orlando. And they are all open seven days a week for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their hours are 7am to 11:30pm, with karaoke daily from 9:30pm to 1:30am.
