A real hole in the wall but a great treasure! My girlfriends and I were so amazed with the service and how wonderful the food tasted! They had a guy playing Frank Sinatra on the ukulele! Would definitely go back! I also met my future husband there! who would of known....

Good Food & Prices

We dined at Meson Bay 2 years ago and then again at our most recent trip to Nuevo Vallarta. I was happy we found this place again since the hotels/taxi's always try to take you to restaurants they "claim" are better. The food is very good and prices are reasonable. I had the lobster and it was only about $25 for a whole lobster, rice, veggies and bread. The lobster was grilled and served with garlic butter. The other food on the menu is also resonably priced. They try to sell you the seafood platter which has a lot of food, only order it if you have a big appetite!! Enjoy!

This was recommended by the cab driver, and we were not disappointed. Without directions, we would not have found it on our own. Open dining on the ocean with good food at reasonable prices. It is south of the shopping square along the beach, just ask for directions. On Wednesdays they offer a steak buffet for only $15. Just watch out for the green stuff served with nacho chips- it is jalapeno sauce and not guacamole.

The place itself is romantic and the food and service are wonderful, not just good. The door-and-windowless "Palapa" sits on the beach in the village of Bucerias and offers a wide selection of seafood, as well as steaks. We chose something different each night and enjoyed it all: Langostinos, garlic shrimp, tuna stuffed avocado, Ceviche, and I loved my ribeye on our last visit. It was perfectly prepared and served.

If you visit, ask for Leonardo. No English, but great understanding.

For consumers of alcohol, Meson has an enormous, no kidding, selection of liquid from around the world.

They don't take credit cards, so have pesos ready: our bill was never over $65.00, including lots of alcohol and desserts. The first night we had no cash. The owner drove us to the hotel where we fetched enough to pay up.

This place is awesome. You can watch the beautiful sunset and delicious dinner of the freshest seafood or authentic Mexican cuisine. They have 56kg lobsters and they are located right on the beach, just south of the footbridge in the beautiful little town of Bucerias.
