There are three main places to eat at the Mayan Palace. During the day we enjoyed food from the snack bar. The Bakal had a great champagne brunch on Sunday (regular brunch every morning).

We ate at both Tumtah's and Bakal Restaurants. Both places are great! Tumtah's has a three layer chip and salsa pre-appetizer that includes cerviche (fresh fish salsa). Bakal has an awesome breakfast buffet which has everything you can think of (french toast, pancakes, cooked to order omelets, fresh fruits, made to order juices, etc). They also have an awesome lobster buffet dinners.

The condo food was tasteful. A little pricier. The men enjoyed all their meals...seafood everywhere. Was a little afraid to try beef, so mostly I ate chicken. PiPi's was excellent Mexican food. We went twice. Senor Mister PePe's was wonderful too. The restaurant is a family runned business. They are a family of Jehovah's Witnesses and treated us so special. We had a nice lunch at River Cafe. Ate Italian food also at Paradise Village Mall at Guido's and at the Jungle Restaurant. Excellent food. I even drank the water and didn't get sick. All in all, meals were great

There are two restaurants and one snack bar at the Mayan Palace. The seafood restaurant is very good and most entrees are about $15. They also have hamburgers and appetizers on the menu. It is located looking out onto the beach and has a gorgeous view of the sunsets.

The other restaurant has a breakfast/lunch buffet every day from 7am to 12:30pm that costs $14.50. The food is excellent, and you can order off the menu if you don't want the buffet. They also have a themed buffet each night (Tex-mex, Italian, oriental, and mexican fiesta nights). The snack bar is open during the day, and you can order from the many servers who come by the pool and on the beach. All the food there is quite good, but not cheap.
