I was at the Athena about 6 years ago. I loved it. I am so happy to see it on here because I am getting ready to go to Nassau again. I can not wait to go to the Athena.
Fresh Grouper with Greek Service!

Visited this place om 1JAN at the recommendation of several locals that seemd to know their fish.
It was great - and alot of fun with 'intense greek service' and intra family interactions. The papa will convince you to have the greek salad - just try to resist!
Every cruise ship passenger should go here while in Nassau - but they only have about 40 seats!
Best Food I've Had in Years
This restaurant had such great food - especially the tyropitakia (cheese pie). The atmosphere was lively and fun and the owner was right there greeting people.
If anyone has the recipe for this cheese pie, I'd love that recipe.

This is a wonderful Greek Restaurant right on Bay street. The food was so delicious and the owner came out to greet every customer and make suggestions if they had never eaten Greek food before. I believe the girl that waited on us was his daughter. She was very friendly and chided for never trying Greek food before. I had a greet tuna salad sandwich on pita bread, it covered the plate and was the best tuna sandwich I have ever eaten. The others ate lentil soup, gyros and roast lamb which were all very good too.
