I went last night to Spices, and had the best Indian food I have had in a very long time.
I could tell that the food was homemade, there was so many great flavours.
I had the five courses for ten pounds, which is a complete bargain.
I had the Shish Kebab to start with, which was massive, full of colours and wonderful flavours. Then I had a Lamb Dansak, which again had clearly been homemade, Pilau Rice and Garlic Nann bread with a side dish of Sag Aloo.
I really cannot fault any of the food. It does take a little while to come, I am not talking hours, about twenty minutes, but this is what I would expect when the food is made on the premises and with fresh ingredients.
It is also a BYO so there is no need to rush anyway, I was very content drinking my red wine in a brilliant atmospheric restaurant, whilst I waited for an excellent amount of well presented, delicious food to come my way.

This restaurant I believe is a franchise and have a few different locations, the one that I discovered was just behind Oxford Street towards Portland Street, follow the lane from Topshop and Miss selfrige and you can't miss it. Ate there twice as I was missing home food, a pretty place that gets quite packed during dinner. Run by Malaysians and Singaporeans they serve an array of dishes from Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia, from my experience the food taste almost as close to home and the best part is that they serve sliced chili with soy sauce. Spicy, the way I like it and they do take-aways too. Expect to pay about 10-15 pounds per person if you're eating in and less then 10 for take-aways. And the there's hardly a waiting time for your food, they prepare them really quickly.
From journal London and it's dissapointment
