Great Wall Restaurant

Description

The Great Wall offers the usual Chinese fare--Cashew Chicken, Hunan Beef, Beef Pepper Steak--but also has one thing that none of the other Chinese restaurants in Lubbock have: an authentic grill for cooking Mongolian barbecue.

Try the 'One-Trip' sometime. It starts with your choice of sweet and sour, egg drop, or wonton soup, then comes a single trip to the ingredients bar where you select the vegetables, rice noodles, meats (beef, chicken, pork, or turkey), and sauce contents for your personalized taste of Mongolian barbecue, cooked fresh before you on the authentic grill. Also included is a side of fried or steamed rice, and to finish off, your choice of sherbet or a rum sundae. It's an excellent lunch or casual dinner that is light on the wallet or pocketbook (under $6 if you drink water).

Again, the place isn't fancy, but it has been in business for a long time in the same location across from the Texas Tech campus.
