In my opinion, the Tropicana Inn is the best restaurant in Cabo. My only negative comment is that it is difficult to get to if you are not staying in the San Jose area; however, the restaurant is well worth a trip out of your way! It is in the central part of San Jose and on the main shopping street. Breakfast and lunch at the Tropicana are excellent! It offers fresh shrimp omelets and a to-die-for shrimp burger (like a crab cake on a hamburger bun, only made of very fresh shrimp).
Taking the bus and then a short walk downhill is an inexpensive way to get there from Cabo San Lucas, about $2 per person. It appears that the restaurant has good nighttime activity because inside there is a band /DJ stand, dance floor, and open second floor. The bathrooms were impeccably clean and very modern. I cannot wait to return and hopefully enjoy the night entertainment.
