We asked our hotel manager for a recommendation for traditional Turkish food, and he said that this is his favorite place. It's very casual, and the food is already prepared and on display near the door. You can pick one dish as a large portion, or smaller amounts of several items. They had about 15 different entrées, plus white rice, Turkish rice, potatoes, and other side dishes. You order at the door, then waiters seat you on one of the three levels. Our charming hostess even took our coats for us--pretty nice for a place where our meal cost about $3 each. A huge basket of French and pita bread was brought to our table--more than two people could ever dream of eating, especially when the huge quanitites of food arrived. Our meals were excellent and very filling. When we ordered dessert, the restaurant owner brought us complimentary apple tea, a Turkish specialty, and sat with us for a chat. This restaurant was a great choice for a tasty, fast, cheap meal, and I highly recommend it.
