Kamayan sa Palaisdaan

It's a restaurant in a fish pond! "Kamayan" means to eat with your hands, and "Palaisdaan" is fish pond. We had lunch here to cool off from the summer heat and to enjoy the good food in a beautiful setting.

Cottages are in the fish pond, wherein bamboo planks serve as bridges. The cottages are made of nipa and other light local materials. There's also a big restaurant that is not in the pond.

The food consists mainly of fish and vegetables, which are cooked fresh. A sumptuous meal was brought to our cottage when it started to drizzle. It wasn't a problem, even when rain comes.

You'll pass by Kamayan sa Palaisdaan before you enter the town. During Pahiyas Festival, it is full and parking may be a problem.
