The quality of food will depend on how much you pay for the tour. Some tours allow you to bring your own food, don't bother. Although, this was some of the worst food I've ever had, I was so hungry it went down quick and I was asking for more.

Bring snacks. They will fill the void on the long days, and may come in handy for trading with others. It's nice to share.

Night one: fried chicken and soup. The chicken was one that we passed on the way up. This was the best meal, since it was at our guides house.
Breakfast day two: I found an enormous flea in my soupy cream-o-wheat.
Lunch day two: Mac-n-cheese with fish and veg. My partner watched the meal be prepared. The cook sqeezed margerine onto each helping and sucked the end off for himself after each plate.
Dinner day two: rice with onions and meat.
Breakfast day three: eggs
well, you get the idea.
