This is a 16th-century thatched cottage tucked away in the valley near the Perran Sands holiday camp--we were lucky to find it! We had to stop and ask directions twice, but both people told us it wasn't to be missed, and they were right. This is not your typical pub fare. I had brie, bacon, and cranberry-topped garlic bread to start and a perfectly cooked steak for my main, served with jacket potato and salad. My in-laws had delicious-looking fish specials and said that they were excellent. This place is a bit pricy if you were expecting Cornwall to be a bargain, but with hubby and I used to London prices, it seemed reasonable at £70 for the four of us to have starters, mains, and drinks.
The atmosphere is lovely; you can't believe how many people seem to be there for a place that's so remote!
