Tired of spending too much on food during your rampage through Barcelona? Then do go to the Pans and Company instead of the McDonalds in the Maremagnum shopping center. You can sample some really good and cheap sandwiches and salads for about the same prices as at the golden arches. The difference, though, is that the quality is much better.

A good quick sandwich stop in a busy sightseeing day! A wide range of baguettes with interesting fillings. If you get the Bus Turistica you get a good meal deal voucher.

If you're looking for something fast & cheap, don't succumb to the burger temptation!!! Look for the tell-tale yellow signs with black-checker trim, and try Pans & Company!

This chain specializes in local, Catalan-style 'entrepans', or sandwiches, made with fresh, crunchy Spanish bread. Cold entrepans feature traditional Catalan sausages, such as fuet (Vic), and Iberian ham. Other excellent options include the Mediterraneo (tuna, red peppers & green olives) and one whose name I don't recall, with Iberian ham and Brie cheese.
