Felah is one of the fairly new hangouts in Baguio. My friends and I went there to unwind one night-I was awed by the view!
This bar is actually situated atop a 4-story building, so for a first-timer like me, getting there meant resultant wobbly knees and breathlessness. But it was well worth it! One wall has huge windows that revealed one of Baguio's spectacular faces at night. It's like looking up at the night sky, only the stars are actually bulbs from houses dotting the hill beyond. If you're daring enough, you can sit on the ledge outside the window, and while you sip your drink with your feet dangling below you, you can breathe in the chilly evening breeze while taking in the serenity of what lies before you.
There wasn't anything extraordinary about the food or the drinks, but it was satisfactory. The funny thing here is that if you don't like your cocktail, they'd take it back and really spike it up, just the way you like it! (I guess this is what it means when they say that the customer is always right-their staff really aims to please.)
The ambiance at Felah is a combination of carefree comfort and coziness. If you're going with a big group, the waiters can rearrange the tables for you so you and your friends don't have to be scattered all over the place. They also have love seats for a more "cushiony" feel.
If you ever want to get away from the city noise and hype on a Friday night, this is the best place to be.
