Don't overlook the simple pleasure of a relaxing picnic on a nice day. Anyone can assemble a picnic but I have to mention a few 'necessities' that made up mine. There are tons of different cheeses but my favourite was gouda flavoured with garlic. It's a fairly strong garlic flavour but definitely worth the extra mouthwash you might have to use later. I bought wine at the HEMA Dept. store and paid less than $2. for a 16 oz. bottle of Australian Shiraz. Cote d'Or makes wonderful chocolate bars and my favourite was '5 in 1' - chocoholic heaven! With some fruit and a couple of rolls and a scenic location (Vondel Park or canalside)this was one of my most memorable meals.
