We were taken to Caramba by a wonderful couple we met in San Pedro. I didn't really know what to expect but figured we were in for a treat when we arrived and found only one open table in the restaurant. A crowded restaurant is usually a good indication of quality and service... and it definitely was at Caramba!
Although they were extremely busy, Caramba offered a staff that were very attentive. The only downside of Caramba is that it did not have an ocean view. Once you get past that point you will find some of the best food found on the island!
We had jerk shrimp and coconut shrimp and found both dishes to be exceptional! Warning, the jerk shrimp is HOT... but so very good. The spices had my lips tingling but I wish I could get food like this in my hometown.
Go to Caramba... enjoy a Belikin or Pina Colada. Have a little Ceviche before dinner and then prepare yourself for a Central American feast that you will always remember.

They had excellent food and service and a large menu of local favorites and familiar items. My wife had crab and loved it. There's always fresh fish available throughout the island. The key is how it's prepared, and mine was prepared nicely.
