EXPECT A LINE. We kept on putting off this rather infamous restaurant since every time it required a 30-40 minute wait. Finally on our next to last day we gave it a shot, and the food was well worth the wait. For breakfast try the chorizo burrito.

INTERESTING TRIVA: Cafe Pasqual's occupies the oldest freestanding adobe in downtown Santa Fe.

Very small, funky restaurant recommended to us by a local. Combination of tourists and locals. 10 minute wait...hustle-bustle atmosphere, but service wasn't rushed. High-quality food, good wine list, casual service.

The breakfast at this restaurant is outstanding. The choices are endless. You can have eggs in any number of ways, pancakes, waffles, muffins, cereal, bacon, ham and sausages. They have combination breakfast plates that would satisfy the heartiest of eaters. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Newspapers are available for you to read for free. Get there early during the high season or you will have to wait for a table.

This place is incredibly popular in Santa Fe and annoyingly so!! We were staying across the street at the Hotel St. Francis. and I couldn't believe that the wait for a table for brunch was about two hours!! Can you believe that? And the service, like all VERY popular places, was hectic and a bit testy. So we ordered take out. I had the Huevos Rancheros and Ally had the Broiled Trout for breakfast, which we ate in the Hotel Lounge. It was good, but not worth a TWO HOUR wait. And this was in winter!
