This was a great experience! There was an amazing food quality. Mongolie Grill had a buffet of exotic and fine foods such as scallops, prawns, buffalo meat, venison, steak, salmon, etc. The food is priced by the gram. It was $3.10 per 100 grams. For my wife and daughters, their food was under $10. Mine was $46, but worth every penny.

Imagine going to a restaurant and having exactly what you want. The server can't get the order wrong because you put the ingredients directly into the bowl, add your own personal blend of sauces and spices, and take it to the chef and have him/her cook it right in front of your eyes. Do you want it all mixed up? Your seafood separate from the meat? Ask them to prepare it just the way you like it. Grab a bowl, fill it from a huge variety of fresh vegetables and also get 20% off (vegetarians only). If you really want a bowlful of meat (chicken/pork/beef) and some seafood with only a few vegetables, that's your choice. Be careful, because the cost of your meal is based on weight and meat/seafood weigh a lot more than bean sprouts and other vegetables. Starter includes soup and you get your own personal pot of hot white rice. It's a whole new experience, so go often and try different combinations. Service is excellent. Bar service available. If you can't use chopsticks, ask for a fork and knife. A half bowlful might be around $7.00 but a whole bowlful depending upon the contents may go for $15.00. Have fun and experiment.

From casual to fine dining, from sushi to Chinese food, tandoori to barbecue, Whistler is a place to find a fabulous gastronomic experience. This is where food preparation from all corners of the world meets. It is also where a range of family-oriented restaurants offer excellent value and high quality to diners.

Mongolie Grill was a unique experience and a fun place to go with the whole family. It is a restaurant where you choose your ingredients and create your own world-class stir fry.

The concept goes like this: begin by grabbing your bowl, then walk through a long food bar filled with a wonderful selection of seafood, tender meats, garden fresh vegetables, and an array of noodles. Choose and combine your own ingredients: veggies and meats, seafood with noodle, beef with broccoli, or maybe a little of everything. Then flavor your favourite ingredients with a delicious selection of sauces from around the world: teriyaki, coconut curry and Thai peanut, or maybe the chef's sauce combination. Pass your combination to one of several chefs available. After weighing your bowl to get the cost, he goes to the biggest wok (huge grill) I have ever seen and plunks it down to get it positioned for cooking. Watch him theatrically grill your creation before your eyes.

It was very easy to be taken in with the amount of food in the food bar. I suggest a walk around first, decide what you are truly craving for, and then cautiously start loading up. I was surprise by the amount of food those bowls can actually hold; by the time I was done picking my load, my cost came to a total of $32, almost 3 lbs. Here you can eat to your heart's content.

Mongolie Grill was truly an enjoyable dining experience: delicious food, fun ambience, entertaining chefs, and a friendly staff. Located in Whistler Village Center, it is easy to find, just across from Starbucks and next to the Village 8 theater. Cost is $12.50/lb. Children under 12 were given a child-size bowl with a fixed rate of $7.50. Lunch until 4pm is 20% off.

This is a buffet line where you select the portions of your stir-fry. Then the meal is delivered to your table by the waitstaff. Rice is included along with the main course. The food was tasty and hot, and the service was acceptable.

This restaurant offers a change of pace dining experience. You take a bowl and fill it with your choice of ingredients from a long food bar. There is a good selection of meat, chicken, seafood, vegetables and noodles and a choice of 18 sauces. The bowl is then weighed and you are charged accordingly. Once that's done, one of the chefs will grill it however you'd like. Steamed rice and rice tortillas accompany each meal. It's especially fun to come here with a group of people so you can taste each others' creations. Price really depends on how much and what you choose.
