This restaurant overlooks the pool area with the Pacific Ocean beyond it. The service is impeccable. We dined here when there must have been a convention on property, yet we had the entire restaurant practically to ourselves. The whistling you hear is not from birds in the trees, but couqui singing frogs, native to Puerto Rico but now populating Maui. I ordered the French onion soup with roasted duck, the filet mignon and lobster tail, and the mango-pineapple cobbler. I also enjoyed a few gin and tonics with my meal. These 3 hours were probably my favorite during my stay in Maui. After dinner, head upstairs to The Lobby Lounge and enjoy the variety of musicians who perform nightly. The night we stopped by there was a Brazilian vocalist in the style of Bebel Gilberto.
