Earl of Sandwich

The Earl of Sandwich was a great surprise for our first meal at the Walt Disney World Resort. Sandwiches were reasonably priced ($4.95), but the sides were a bit pricey ($2-3), but looked tempting and healthy. Drink choices included Coke products and an interesting blend of lemonade and Earl Grey tea called the Earl's Grey Lemonade. Desserts ranged from chocolate cake to big yummy cookies.

Plenty of seating was available both inside and outside the restaurant, and there was never a long wait for a seat. Also available: yogurt, salads, wraps, beer, smoothies and ice-cream sandwiches, and breakfast.

This is a great restaurant where everyone will find something to please them. It's a great value, and I wouldn't hesitate to step back on in.

*This restaurant is a Quick Service on the Disney Dining Plan.

Earl of Sandwich, in Downtown Disney Marketplace, has a great variety of large, delicious sandwiches at a great price (by Disney standards). They make the sandwiches to order, and you are given a number that will be called when your order is ready. Based on the crowds we encountered off season, it looks like the secret is out and it is very popular. The demand for seating far outstripped the supply in the restaurant. If possible, try to go before or after peak lunch/dinner times. Here is a link to their menu courtesy of Allearsnet.com: http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/menu_eofs.htm.

This is one of the few places inside Disney World that actually serves good food at reasonable prices. There are mostly large hot sandwiches here, about $4.95 each. The bread used is great. It also has salads, smoothies, and desserts. A cup of tomato soup (the only kind) is $0.99 with croutons. There are very long lines, but they move fast.

We ate at this counter-service restaurant twice - it was excellent! Sandwiches are made to order on hot baguettes. The first time my dad had a barbeque beef sandwich, drink, and cookie; I had the Le Frenchy sandwich (ham, brie, and dejonaise), a drink, and a brownie. The second time I had the Earl’s Club (turkey) and Dad had the tuna melt. We also got cookies and drinks. It’s a very busy place – the servers aren't too friendly – but the food is great!!
