Description: Although it sounds like a Mediterranean restaurant, it really was more like Italian food. We dined on a Sunday evening, when they have a special deal called "A Tuscan Dinner," which included an antipasto, choice of salad or soup, a choice of entrée, and a choice of dessert, all for a grand total of C$14.99, truly a great deal.
My friends and I all ordered the four-course meal deal--and then we also ordered the polenta fries and med bread. Both of those appetizers were very good. The antipasto was not my favorite--some olives, salami, roasted red pepper, and crostini. The salads were small but the perfect size considering how much more food would be served. My paella was good, a bit on the salty side, but otherwise good. My friends had the salmon, steak and halibut. Everyone enjoyed their meal. For dessert, I had chosen the lemon flan, which was more like a lemon tart. This was also very good.
As for the atmosphere, the interior looked more like a trendy, modern bar. And the extensive cocktail list would seem to suggest that as well. But, we were all surprised by how reasonably priced the meal was. We were all dressed very casually, but thankfully did not feel uncomfortable. It could be because Victorians are so friendly.
