Las Brisas

This restaurant is actually called Bella Vista and is located inside the Las Brisas resort complex. The food was delicious but the view made the meal. Situated on the cliffs overlooking Acapulco Bay, the sun sets, and the city lights up as you enjoy your meal. The ocean breeze on the mountainside was a welcome respite from the heat down on the beach. Tables are outside in a romantic atmosphere with candlelight and soft music. The waiters gave excellent service and treated us like royalty.

We ordered salmon and chicken dishes which were very good. Portions are medium which leaves room for dessert. The tiramisu was good, not great. Expect to spend about $30 USD for an entree and $10-15 USD for each appetizer or dessert. Bring some cash for the tip, as the included tip on the credit card is shared among all of the hotel staff.

It cost 100 pesos each way for a taxi to the restaurant from our hotel.

The Restaurante de Brasis

After a day of touring, we wanted a place that had inexpensive and authentic Mexican food. Our cab driver brought us to the Restaurant de Brasis.

At first, we were given menus in Spanish, but after the waiter realized we spoke only a little Spanish, he brought us the menus in English. I knew when we had the Spanish menus exactly what I would get. I have been craving chile rellenos for years. To my delight, they had it. We were served chips, salsa, verde sauce, pickled veggies, bread, and crackers before we even ordered. I was not disappointed. My dish was worth the wait for all these years. My partner got shish kabobs that he said were perfect. We also ordered the guacamole -- we could barely finish it. Tons of great food and three beers cost only $16.

Your waiter caters to your every need from the moment that you walk into the open air restaurant. The view of Acapulco Bay is breathtaking. This is the most romantic place that I have ever been to.
