This pub is very close to where we live in Vienna so when we want to have an Austrian beer with visiting friends this is where we take them. They make their own beer, even in lemonade version! Try it, it's an interesting taste, sort of like blended beer and lemonade.

The food is also excellent and expect huge servings! They have "baskets", which are excellent snacks for nibbling alongside the drinks. The baskets are fried vegetable pieces, chicken nuggets, or small fish that come with two types of dips. Finger food heaven! The soups are also very good!

In the summer they move out into the closed garden (inner courtyard), which has a very good atmosphere to spend a few hours chatting with friends. Don't expect a big party though...because the courtyard is surrounded with apartments. There is no music, just the sound of people talking.

This is an urban brew pub located pretty close to the first district. Cozy and friendly, the brewery features a hit-or-miss array of beers that generally border on excellent (the many wheats and some of the Helles biers) but sometimes verge toward the unfortunate (Hemp beer!) when they try to out-hip themselves.

The food here is cheap and excellent and includes toasts, gulash, pastas and other traditional Austrian fare.
