Puspita (Indonesian restaurant)

Description

Small Indonesian restaurant, with excellent cooks. Indonesian food is very popular in the Netherlands, since Indonesia is a former colony of Holland. It is said that the way that the Dutch eat Indonesian (sitting around a table with a lot of different dishes of which everyone can take 'a bit of this and a bit of that') isn't i=Indonesian at all, and that it was invented by Dutch colonists. But is doesn't matter of course, as long as you like it.

This is a very popular restaurant - even a lot of Indonesians like to go and eat here.

It is a bit far from the center (you can take a bus from the central station, heading to Purmerend or Buikslotermeerplein), but is really worth the effort.

And, about the costs: not expensive at all: a full meal for two persons costs about $20. If there are more of you, it could be even cheaper, because you share the seemingly unlimited amount of food.
