A C Diplomatic restaurant

The restaurant in our hotel has very high ratings, for good reason. The food and service are top class. The breakfast was included in our room price (verify this for yourself). Not only was the food tasty and served properly with style and grace, but was beautiful to look at. Complete white table cloth service. Breakfast was both buffet and limited menu. Heavy on seafood, Iberian ham, sweets and fresh squeezed juices. (it may look orange, but may be apricot, peach or mango). Best coffee in the world! Served with a pitcher of hot milk, if you please.

A little Spanish goes a long way! Although most of the staff is multi-lingual, that may mean Spanish, Catalonian and French! If you are willing to do nothing else, learn enough Spanish to be polite. Manners count a great deal in Spain. I was often spoken to in French on first contact rather than English. Curious, no? Remember times are given on the international 24 hours system. If you make a reservation for 6 o'clock, it will be 6 in the morning!

Dinners are served very late, no earlier than 2030, (8:30 pm). If you can't do that, order room service, which is also supurb!

Often I put room service in a separate entry, but in this case, I will add it here. I telephoned to make a room service order. Almost instantly a room service waiter appeared at my door to take our order. We pointed at and discussed the multi-lingual menu. I ordered a number of items including ice cream.

The ice cream was the hit of a fine meal. It came in 3 round tasty, frozen balls: mango, chocolate and coconut. Lovely! Cold and wonderful. All of our food arrived within minutes. I also ordered red wine for my husband. A split or half bottle. Don't you always have red wine with ice cream? The prices were reasonable considering the quality of the food and service and the location.

Remember you cannot add a tip to a bill. You have to give the tip in cash. Fine once we caught on.
